Geniie Boy – Butterbox Beats

GENIIE BOY, hailing from just ’round the river bend’ in Currumbin, are nothing but a mixed bag… like a good old Allen’s party mix. They might start out as an acoustic duo with warm guitar lead lines and airy harmonies (probably a milk bottle), but you might also get thrown into a deep house remix of an old cover song somewhere along the journey too (maybe one of those piña colada pineapple ones). Throw in a little giggle no doubt, and all of a sudden you’re on your way to scoffing the whole bag.

GENIIE BOY, the music child of singer/songwriter Alisha Todd and musician/producer Scott French, made their indie pop debut in 2021. A handful of their songs received airtime on Triple J, they reached #6 on the Regional Radio charts, a few of their outrageous home-made video clips were played on MTV Upload… heck you could even hear ‘Bad Company’ playing over the Coles Radio at one point. You would’ve heard it in Aisle 6 while you were picking out your bag of Allens. Nom nom.

The duo will be supported by popular musician, composer and pannist Alvin Rostant.  Alvin is creative and innovative powerhouse who enjoys sharing his passion for steel drum music and the performing arts.

Grab a drink from the bar and something to eat then settle in for fabulous free music on the big outdoor stage.

Food trucks and markets from 5pm.
